“I think he is a wonderful guy ... an extraordinary person ... I think we had a great meeting,” the US president said.
He noted that the leaders managed to discuss a lot during the meeting, including trade relations between Russia and the United States.
"We must have trade - between Russia and the United States, two great countries," - said Trump.
Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov described Putin’s and Trump’s talks in Osaka as important and constructive.
It was reported that the leaders discussed Iran, Syria, Venezuela and Ukraine.
Their talks lasted about 1.5 hours.
