The French leader stressed that Russia and Europe have many common issues to discuss - the situation in Syria, Ukraine, on the African continent, as well as issues of world stability and nuclear disarmament.

"We must build a new architecture of trust and security between Europe and Russia ... We can also build a new partnership," RIA Novosti quotes Macron.

According to him, Europe should create a “new grammar” of relations with Moscow, subject to efforts on both sides, including to solve the problem of cyber threats.

Earlier in the Kremlin, they noted that in the course of negotiations with Vladimir Putin, Macron called for a new impulse in trade, economic and cultural ties between the two countries.
