“We confirm the preparations for the next meeting of the Russia-NATO Council, which is scheduled for July 5,” TASS quoted the agency’s representative.

It is planned that during the meeting the issue of security in Europe and the world will be discussed against the background of the US withdrawal from the INF Treaty (Treaty on the Elimination of Medium and Shorter-Range Missiles), as well as the issues of “predictability of military activities”.

Earlier, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg announced a meeting of the Council with Russia to discuss the INF.

The Federation Council at a meeting on June 26 approved a law on the suspension of the Treaty on the Elimination of Intermediate-Range and Shorter-Range Missiles (INF).

The Chairman of the Bureau of “Officers of Russia”, the Hero of Russia, Major General Sergey Lipova, in an interview with Nation News, commented on the decision of Russia.
