President Trump warned on Twitter that any attack on the United States "will be accompanied by tremendous and overwhelming force."

He added that in some areas, overwhelming might mean extortion, and that Iran needs to know that US military power is the most powerful in the world.

President Trump said in an interview with the US television station that he was referring to the possibility of a war, using the word "extermination."

"We will review all options if Iran goes beyond the storage limits of low-enriched uranium specified in the nuclear deal," said John Bolton, a visiting security adviser to Israel.

In response, Tehran said Bolton was planning a war, and as he announced, he would reduce the implementation of the nuclear agreement more than seven days later.
