Nearly a hundred teachers called to correct copies of the baccalaureat of history and letters were on strike Tuesday in Occitania, to oppose the reforms led by Jean-Michel Blanquer.

Nearly a hundred correctors called to correct the copies of the tests of letters and history-geography of the students in professional vat of all Occitanie were on strike Tuesday, indicated the unions CGT and FSU. On "180 to 200" teachers summoned to the Louis-Rascol high school of Albi, to correct some 8,000 copies from all over the region, "a little less than 50% did not show up at the convocation", protesting against the Minister of Education Jean-Michel Blanquer's reforms, according to the unions.

Tuesday morning, about fifteen strikers had still made the trip, but did not enter correct. They chanted: "We are here and we will stay until you withdraw your law" and "No to the liquidation of the professional baccalaureate".

To challenge public opinion

Among them, Eric Jalade, professor of letters and history-geography in Mazamet (Tarn), intends to "denounce the degradation that will operate this reform on our working conditions of teachers and those of our students." According to this representative Snuep-FSU, this strike correctors aims especially to "challenge the public opinion on the condition made to the teachers of letters-history, and the professional path in general, which is rolled by this reform". The National Education refused to comment locally.

On June 17, the first day of baccalaureate, professors on strike of the surveillance of the tests had gathered before several establishments in France, with the call of the inter-union including the Snes-FSU, first union among the teachers of the secondary , and SUD-Education. The reform will notably reduce the number of final examinations in favor of continuous supervision and will be accompanied by an overhaul of teaching in high school.
