Olympic runner-up Melina Robert-Michon finished second at the Montgeron meeting in Essonne on Tuesday with a throw of 60.19m.

Robert-Michon (39) was beaten by Germany's Kristin Pudenz (61.77m), while France's Pauline Pousse finished third (57.82m).

"This is a fair competition because regular," said Melina Robert-Michon, back this season after giving birth to his second daughter in June 2018, which targets the Doha World Cup (September 27 - October 6) and a participation in its 6th Olympic Games in Tokyo in 2020.

"But I'm a bit frustrated because some technical changes take a long time to set up (...) with these changes I'm a young girl," she said ironically, while she did not succeed to improve his best performance of the season (61.22 m in Halle on June 1st).

His coach, Serge Debié, made his trip to the Ile-de-France to help him adjust his technique between tests, while he missed several of his meetings abroad (Stockholm, Rabat, Halle).

Initially planned in Montgeron, the hurler Pascal Martinot-Lagarde preferred not to line up 110 m hurdles, feeling insufficiently recovered from a left adductor injury.
