US President Trump said that Kim Jong-il had exchanged a very friendly letter with North Korean leader Kim Jong-il, saying that there would be a phenomenal future for North Korea if it pursues denuclearization. Two days earlier, President Trump said he would visit the Special Representative on North Korea's policy toward North Korea.

President Kim has officially confirmed his letter as President of the Republic of Korea.

Although President Trump did not disclose details, he said that all of the letters sent by North America were very friendly.

The US State Department announced that Special Envoy for North Korean Policy for North Korea, Stephen Vegan, will visit Korea from 27th to 30th.
