The Security Council of Russia called the topics of talks Patrushev and Bolton

This informs RIA Novosti with reference to the press secretary of the Security Council Yevgeny Anoshina.

“Patrushev and Bolton discussed certain aspects of Russian-US security relations, paying particular attention to issues of strategic stability and arms control,” he said after the meeting.

Anoshin also noted that at the initiative of the United States, the situation in Venezuela was considered in detail, during which "the invariable Russian position on the need for a dialogue with a view to overcoming the domestic political crisis in the country was re-marked."

In addition, Patrushev and Bolton discussed a number of regional security issues.

The talks lasted an hour and a half.
