“The documents and materials of the commission do not give grounds for establishing the fact of his (Sharia. - RT ) residence in Ukraine for the past five years,” the statement said following the meeting of the commission.
It is specified that 14 members of the commission voted for this decision, two more abstained.
Earlier, the CEC of Ukraine refused to register candidates for the Movement of New Forces party to the ex-governor of the Odessa region, Mikhail Saakashvili, for the elections to the parliament.
Subsequently, supporters of the party staged a protest near the building of the CEC in Kiev.
