In the Big Evening Newspaper, activist Zohra Bitan looks back on the success of the hashtag #JeKiffeMonDecollete during the weekend.

INTERVIEW

Back on a few words that ignited Twitter this weekend. A woman on the street who is called a "whore" because she has a cleavage and who is fed up by letting him know about the social network. Another, which shows him his solidarity with the #JeKiffeMonDecollete. This is how the hashtag spread this weekend, at the initiative of Zohra Bitan, an activist association that works on professional integration and issues of secularism. She was in the Big Evening Journal to review the success of the keyword.

"I was pleasantly surprised"

With #JeKiffeMonDecollete, Zohra Bitan wanted to relay a call for women to assume their cleavage. "I was pleasantly surprised to see all these women who have not hesitated to seize it and all those men who have supported," she says at the microphone of Europe 1, "it's rather reassuring ". Hundreds of women have indeed published photos of their cleavage with the hashtag, to assert, they too, the right to dress as they wish. "There is no distinction of age or condition in the desire for freedom," says Bitan.

"Far too many women are judged or insulted"

While the initiative has been very successful, it also highlights a sad reality. "What is amazing is that in 2019, we must claim this freedom (to dress as desired, ed)," laments the activist. "Far too many women are judged or insulted by their dress," she says. But Zohra Bitan is delighted, that at least for a weekend, this reality has been fought on the social network.
