A report published by the British Guardian that Saudi Arabia targets its critics using sophisticated spy programs, and that Riyadh is using these programs to penetrate the phones of journalists and academics, including the journalists of the Guardian itself.

The newspaper said it had been warned that its journalists were victims of espionage by a unit of piracy from within Saudi Arabia.

She added that the Saudi authorities rejected their demands to deal with these allegations, and Riyadh refused to grant assurances not to spy on its journalists.

This comes in the cover of the Guardian report of the UN report, which blamed Riyadh responsible for the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi deliberately, and announced the existence of credible evidence requires investigation with senior officials including Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
