Nicolas Sarkozy's former minister Jean-Pierre Jouyet, currently France's representative in London, has been appointed ambassador to the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) in Paris, the government said on Wednesday.

Mr. Jouyet, who has held many important positions including Secretary General of the Elysee under François Hollande, has been France's ambassador to the United Kingdom since September 2017.

This enarque of 65 years was formerly Secretary of State for European Affairs in the government of François Fillon in 2007 and 2008, before managing the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) until 2012, then the Public Investment Bank (BPI).
