The National Elections Commission (NEC) has set up nine centers to receive requests for candidates to run for the Federal National Council (FNC) 2019, which covers all emirates, stressing the need to be six conditions in the applicant to accept his application, the most important being to be a member of the Electoral Commission in the emirate.

The National Elections Commission has affirmed the right of any citizen to stand for the FNC elections in 2019. If there are a number of conditions for candidacy, the most important of which is to be a candidate to be a citizen of the State and to be a member of the electoral commission in the emirate to which he belongs. In its Executive Regulations, the Committee recently stated that the conditions for candidacy also include not less than the age of the applicant wishing to run for twenty-five calendar years (that is, born on or before October 2, 1991) and to be civil, Who has not previously been convicted of an offense against honor, unless he has been rehabilitated in accordance with the law and, finally, has sufficient knowledge of literacy.

In the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, applications will be received at the headquarters of the Emirate Committee at the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, at Al Ain at Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium, at Al Dhafra at the Bennouna Institute for Science and Technology, While in the Emirate of Dubai the applications will be received at the headquarters of the Dubai World Trade Center.

The Committee stressed that the application for candidacy must be submitted by the applicant or by an agent under a special agency, provided that the application for candidature is submitted to the committee of the emirate to which he belongs.

According to the executive instructions, whoever wishes to nominate himself must submit his candidacy application to the emirate committee whose name is registered in its electoral body. In order to complete the registration process properly, the applicant must apply, either personally or through the agent, Emirates ID, Registration Summary, Certificate of Good Conduct to the NEC, as well as a registration fee of AED 1,000 payable in cash upon application and non-refundable.

The Committee stated that applicants wishing to serve in public office, whether federal or local, to stand for election must submit a certificate of leave from work, from the date of the final list of candidates to the date of the end of the electoral deadline.

Military and judicial capacity

The National Elections Committee said that in the case of persons with military status, those who wish to stand for them must submit a certificate confirming their employer's approval to grant them leave from the date of the announcement of the list of final candidates until the date of the election deadline.
