The Lebanese authorities confirmed yesterday the release of Lebanese Nizar Zakka, who was detained in Iran on charges of spying for the United States, hours after the Iranian judiciary announced his agreement to release him. The General Directorate of the Lebanese General Security published a tweet on its account, saying "the Director General of the General Security, Major General Abbas Ibrahim, on the way from Tehran to Lebanon, accompanied by Nizar Zaka, after his release by the Iranian authorities" They sit inside the plane.
