“The main investigative department of the IC of Russia has opened a criminal case on the fact of shelling a mosque in the city of Donetsk on the grounds of a crime under part 1 of Art. 356 of the Criminal Code of Russia (the use of prohibited means and methods of warfare), "- said the agency.

According to the UK, on ​​June 4, servicemen of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and the National Guard under Ukraine bombarded the mosque with heavy weapons, as a result of which the building’s dome was damaged.

The ministry added that at the time of the shelling there were at least 70 civilians in the mosque.

Earlier in the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic they said that the Ukrainian military had fired at a mosque in Donetsk.
