Stoltenberg also noted that in response to the actions of the Russian side, NATO has increased its presence in the Black Sea region and expanded cooperation with partners, in particular, with Ukraine and Georgia.

Earlier it was reported that Brussels expects Moscow to implement the decision of the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea on the release of Ukrainian sailors detained for illegally crossing the Russian border.

In turn, the press secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov said that in the case of the Kerch Strait "the 1982 Convention on the Law of the Sea is not applicable."

According to him, Moscow will continue to consistently defend its position.
