European champion in the 110m hurdles Pascal Martinot-Lagarde has withdrawn for the meeting of the Diamond League of Rome because of a "small tear" to the left adductor that delays its recovery.

Martinot-Lagarde (27) felt a pain Friday in training, which proved to be a "small tear adductor means," he told AFP Tuesday.

Income "tired" of an internship in Kobe (Japan) with the team of France (April 26 - May 9), the hurdler blocked his back to training.

"Then I ran inside, clenched my teeth, I think that's what had to pull the adductor more than usual."

"There is nothing to be alarmed," he says after receiving a Tuesday injection of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) in Paris, which had happened to him in 2015 or last season.

"PML" differs so his summer, which could take place in Rabat June 16 or Montgeron (Essonne) June 25 if he does not feel ready enough for the Moroccan stage Diamond League.
