“After the sanctions war of 2014, (when - RT ) ... the EU countries lost billions of euros, a new wave of people who want to restore relations with Russia again comes ... Russia today is attractive for foreign business,” Vodolatsky said.

He added that the upcoming numerous elections in European states will largely determine the development of the Russian-Baltic dialogue.

“This (improvement of relations between Russia and Europe - RT ) will be gradual, next year elections will be held in a number of states. Within three years, everything will be back to square one, ”the parliamentarian stressed.

The previously elected president of Latvia, Egils Levits, spoke in favor of improving relations with Russia, noting, however, that Riga’s policy towards Moscow should be part of the EU’s common policy.
