Steve Bannon, Donald Trump's former strategist, speaking on the European elections will be counted on the National Rally (RN) list, as a support to the latter, said Wednesday (May 22nd). to AFP the Superior council of audio-visual (CSA), confirming an information of the emission of TMC, Daily.
The CSA indicated that Steve Bannon's statements would be well counted from the list time led by Jordan Bardella, on the basis of the recommendation made on March 27, which provides, inter alia, that radio and television "fall within [...] speaking time of the candidate lists and their supporters in all their programs ".
Under these rules, the duration of interventions from people expressly supporting a list of candidates is taken into account and aggregated to the speaking time of this list, says it to the CSA. This provision concerns both remarks that can be made by ordinary citizens, activists, artists, athletes and intellectuals, as well as by foreign personalities.

In this case, when Steve Bannon makes comments that meet this definition on the antenna of an audiovisual media, these remarks are noted and then assigned to the speaking time of the list concerned, argues the regulator.
If the party of Marine Le Pen assured that it did not play any role in the campaign for the Europeans, Steve Bannon, present in France since the end of last week, had confirmed in an interview with the Parisian its links with the RN, presenting himself as an "informal adviser", acting as a "volunteer", in particular to give "advice" and help establish "connections".
"Of all the elections [...] it is by far, here, in France, the most important", had declared Steve Bannon to the newspaper, affirming to want to intervene "in the media to speak about the RN".
