Game over for Theresa May? It seems that the proposal of the Prime Minister Tuesday compromise on his agreement Brexit has precipitated things. Furious at the prospect of a vote on a second referendum, many deputies, but also Conservative ministers conspired all day to urge her to hasten his departure.

While Theresa May defended her Brexit bill in the House of Commons outright, she must have felt very lonely. Behind her, the benches in the conservative ranks were deserted, revealing the growing isolation of the leader, let loose by her deputies and some of her ministers who no longer listen to her.

Besides, her fate was decided not inside the communes, but in the corridors of Westminster, who rustled all day with rumors of maneuvers to make her fall.

The Prime Minister is now under intense pressure from her party to cancel the vote on her June 7 draft Brexit bill .

Many conservatives are also urging her to announce her resignation immediately. Several ministers have for this purpose asked to see the leader in the afternoon. But a Theresa May determined not to be dictated his conduct refused to receive them, and according to his entourage will not move from Downing Street, not before the European elections on Thursday.

We are therefore in a totally uncertain situation, an end of reign worthy of the best political thrillers whose final episode could be even more exciting or even sordid.
