The Bolivian Football League saw one of the most unfortunate incidents in the stadiums. First-class referee Victor Hugo Hurtado died during his management of a match between Oldes Reddy and Aurenti Petrolero.
Local television broadcast the match live when Hurtado, 31, fell minutes into the second half on the pitch during a serious attack.
The doctors' attempts to help the young referee did not succeed on the pitch and they had to move him to the nearest hospital, but all attempts to save his life were unsuccessful.
