“A man and a woman from a Polish research station in Hornsun were found dead in an avalanche-prone area,” the archipelago’s governor said.
The researchers left the station on Friday, May 17, and were to return by Sunday morning, May 19, but this did not happen.
A helicopter with a doctor and a policeman was sent to search.
The bodies of the dead were discovered a few hours later in a remote area at the foot of Mount Camcron.
It is noted that they fell from a height of several hundred meters.
