Qatar's Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Lulwa Al Khater said that despite the illegal blockade, Qatar has provided additional gas supplies to the UAE following a breakdown of Dolphin's gas pipeline to the UAE.

Al-Khater said in a tweet on Twitter that the wise leadership in Qatar decided from the first day not to involve the people in this crisis and wished to see Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Bahrain and has stopped punishing the people of the Gulf.

The Reuters news agency quoted sources as saying that Qatar provided additional gas supplies to fill the shortage, after the disruption of the main pipeline of the company, "Dolphin", which carries gas to the UAE.

According to the agency, the Dolphin pipeline, which carries two billion cubic feet of gas per day from Qatar to the UAE, was interrupted for several days, which closed all its facilities last month. The closure has reduced the supply of gas to the UAE.

Qatar Petroleum has provided assistance to Dolphin by shipping materials for repairs.

Qatar has continued its commitment to an agreement to supply the UAE with gas, despite the blockade imposed on Doha, along with Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Egypt since June 5, 2017.
