About 11 Palestinian demonstrators were wounded by the Israeli army late Friday during their participation in the return march near the eastern border of the Gaza Strip.

The Supreme National Council called on the Palestinian masses to participate in the events of Friday "unity through victory and thwart plots," stressing the continuation of popular activities condemning the siege imposed on the sector.

The Palestinian Health Ministry said in a statement that "11 Palestinian demonstrators were shot by the Israeli army east of the Gaza Strip" without further details.

On Friday evening, Palestinians will take part in peaceful marches organized near the fence separating eastern Gaza and Israel to demand the return of refugees to their towns and villages and lift the siege on the Gaza Strip.

The Israeli occupation army has violently repressed these peaceful marches, killing dozens of Palestinians and injuring thousands of people.
