The Sharjah Misdemeanors Court considered the case of an Asian woman accused of belonging to another through the social networking program "Instagram", claiming during its publication comments on the image of the victim that she submitted to the state to practice vice.

The details of the case go back to the 29th of last October, when the defendant commented on a series of photographs of the victim published on her personal page on the program "Instagram", which she described in inappropriate terms, and accused her of coming to the State for the purpose of prostitution, which led the victim to Open a communication and make an appeal against it. The court heard the victim's statement. She confirmed that she knew the defendant and met her before the incident, noting that the defendant entered her personal photo account and began to comment on it in shameful terms, describing her as having come to the state to practice prostitution. She added that she took a copy of the comments and photos published by the accused on her page and translated them into Arabic, and submitted a copy to the court to be included in the case file. In turn, the court postponed the case to January 27, to summon the accused, giving a deadline to translate the full pictures and comments into Arabic, since the victim provided incomplete translation.
