Speculation has arisen following the announcement by United States delegate to the United Nations Neky Healy that she would choose US President Donald Trump as his daughter Ivanka to succeed Healy, while American news sites reported that Hely's tribute to Ivanka and her husband, Jared Kouchner, Trump's adviser, raised speculation that one of them would succeed Healy.

The president accepted Tuesday the sudden resignation of Washington's envoy to the United Nations. Trump said Helley had "done a great job" and would leave her post at the end of this year. He did not reveal why Healy resigned and whether she would hold another position.

She described her as a great friend, and praised Kouchner as a genius. The praise was fueled by rumors that Kouchner was likely to succeed or not. Ivanka Haley in her post.

A US diplomat quoted a Western diplomat as saying that Helley's resignation was a surprise and did not tell the administration of the decision. Earlier, a UN official told the same website that none of the world's UN representatives had any idea whether Heley might resign.

The US president has said he will choose the character that will replace Healy in a few weeks. Among the names to be appointed is Dina Powell, a former national security adviser to Trump and Richard Grenell, America's ambassador to Germany.

CNN anchor Bobby Harlow spoke twice about the possibility of Trump appointing his daughter as a successor to Hely, adding that no matter what character she was assigned to, she would need to have a strong relationship with bipartisan members of Congress.

But a source close to the White House told Bazid's website that with the rise of National Security Advisor John Bolton and US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, it is not very important to succeed Niki Healy.

Nicky Healy is a prominent Republican member of the Republican Party, has held an accounting position, and was elected governor of South Carolina twice in succession, before being nominated by the US president in November 2016 for the post of US ambassador to the United Nations.
