Three Korean companies have been charged with a fine of 260 billion won and compensation for allegedly fixing the price of oil delivered to US forces in Korea.

The US Department of Justice announced today that SK Energy, GS Caltex and three Hanjin corporations have pleaded guilty to the allegations of fixing oil supply to the US Army and will pay a total of $ 8.2 million and 92.9 billion won in fines.

Separately, the Justice Department added that it would pay $ 150 billion in civil compensation compensation worth $ 174.5 billion for reasons such as antitrust and false claims.

The Ministry of Justice said the oil collusion occurred between March 2005 and 2016 for the US Army, Navy, Marine Corps, and Air Force stationed in Korea.
