In Turkey, a court released a member of the main pro-Kurdish opposition party. Leyla Güven is still accused of "terrorism", but she has been on a hunger strike for 79 days and her health is deteriorating. This is perhaps the reason why Turkish justice has chosen to give him his freedom, under conditions.

The pro-Kurdish pro-Kurdish MP of the HDP party is accused of terrorism for notably denouncing the Turkish military operation against Kurdish militias in Syria, but it is mainly because of her hunger strike that her case has been publicized in recent weeks. A strike began on 8 November to denounce the conditions of imprisonment of Abdullah Öcalan, the historical leader of the PKK held for twenty years.

Today Leyla Güven has lost nearly 15 kilos his state of health is worrying, but his hunger strike has inspired dozens of other inmates who have also stopped feeding, according to the HDP. Without mentioning it clearly, the court may have decided today to release her to avoid her death in prison, which could have set fire to the powder. But according to his supporters Leyla Güven intends to continue his hunger strike at his home.
