In his first comment on the US Attorney General's announcement that the results of the investigation into Russia's alleged involvement in the US election in 2016 found no complicity between Donald Trump and Moscow, the president said the game was over.

In his official account of Twitter, Trump chanted a picture of him: "No collusion, no obstruction of justice, to the cynics and extremists of the democratic left: the game is over."

US Attorney General William Barr announced yesterday that the investigation by Special Inspector Robert Mueller did not reveal evidence that Trump obstructed the investigation into whether his campaign colluded with Russia during the 2016 presidential election.

"The deputy justice minister and I concluded that the evidence provided by the private investigator is insufficient to confirm that the president committed a crime to obstruct justice," Barr told a news conference.

He explained that Mueller's report lists 10 incidents related to Trump, and assesses whether they reach the extent of obstructing the investigation.

He said he disagreed with his deputy, Ruud Rosenstein, about some of Muller's "legal theories" about obstructing justice, and concluded that Muller had "insufficient evidence" that Trump had committed a crime of obstructing justice.

He added that «the report of the Special Inspector says that his investigation did not prove that members of the Trump campaign conspired or coordinated with the Russian government in its interventions in the elections».

The report also showed that the White House fully cooperated with Muller.
