“The attempts of some representatives of the opposition to provoke violence in Belgrade on March 16-17 are of serious concern,” the ministry said.

At the same time, the Foreign Ministry noted the “restrained and balanced reaction of the authorities” in connection with the unlawful actions of the demonstrators.

“We hope that the situation in Serbia will remain within the framework of the constitutional and legal framework,” the agency added.

Earlier it was reported that the participants in the opposition rally in Belgrade tried to seize the building of the national broadcasting company RTS. Later, demonstrators broke through the cordon in front of the residence of the president.
