British rescuers reported on the discovery of three sailors on an island in the Bristol Bay. According to local media, sailors are citizens of Russia.
It is noted that the diplomatic mission has not yet received any requests from the seamen and their representatives.
"The embassy is following the development of events and has come into contact with representatives of the British authorities," the report said.
The diplomatic mission expressed confidence that the rescue services of Russia would have responded in the same way if such an incident had happened to the British seamen in Russian waters.
Earlier in the Sea of Japan, an explosion occurred on a Russian ship.
