Hundreds of people demonstrated in Tel Aviv and occupied Jerusalem yesterday, wearing "yellow jackets" like those in France, protesting the high cost of living announced for 2019.

The protest came in response to an invitation on social networking sites to Baha a few hundred in Tel Aviv and dozens in occupied Jerusalem. He carried these Israeli flags and placards with slogans against the cost of living, stressing that they wanted to follow the French model.

This week, the Israeli press reported an expected rise in food, electricity and water prices over the next year.

"Fighting the rising cost of living has just begun," said Azi Nagar, 63, a protester at the Square of France in Jerusalem, close to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's home.
