The only naturist restaurant in Paris has gone out of business: "It is with great regret that we are announcing the definitive closure of the O'Naturel restaurant," write the founders on their website. The sign will close its doors on February 16, due to lack of customers in sufficient numbers.

A little over a year after opening. In the meantime, "we give ourselves the opportunity to those who would like to try the experiment and our faithful supporters time to come," says Mike Saada in the columns of Figaro , co-founder of the restaurant with his brother Stephane. Located in the 12th arrondissement of Paris, O'Naturel opened in November 2017. Once past the locker room, customers in Adam's or Eve's costume could enjoy twenty tables and a kitchen "bistronomic" with menus ranging from 39 to 49 euros.

"Too early" to hope to prosper. The announcement of the closure is not a surprise for Cédric Amato, vice president of the Association of naturists of Paris - and himself a regular customer. According to him, "it's too early" for a business to be dedicated entirely to naturism. "Over a full year, we do not have enough people who come to dine naked in the capital."

Urban naturism has to go through ephemeral experiences "related to pleasure and sharing," he continues. Just like the naturist visit to the Palais de Tokyo in May 2018, or the opening for the beautiful days of a space dedicated to the Bois de Vincennes in 2017. Another problem according to him, the lack of regulars. "Undressing to eat, we do not do it every four mornings," he says. Last regret: the choice of a neighborhood "residential", "a little limited", and the absence of an outside for sunny days.
