Deputies of the regional Duma adopted a law, according to which mothers who gave birth to their first child under the age of 29 years old are entitled to receive payment of 100 thousand rubles, RIA Novosti reports.

Speaker of the regional parliament Elena Pisareva, commenting on this decision, expressed the opinion that older women need such payments to a lesser extent.

"We bring the highest (the bar. - RT) - not 24, but 29 years, and, of course, we understand that a woman who, for 30, probably doesn’t need any money, because, really, a woman goes consciously to this step, ”she said.

She added that for women who give birth after 30 years, the baby is more important than money. According to the agency, this statement caused a wide resonance in the media and social networks.

Later, the official noted that her phrase was taken out of context.

“Money is always needed and all. Here the phrase is taken out of context, when it is said that for women 30 years and older ... the most important is the baby who is born in the family. And, probably, the woman does not look at the money, and ... says that I do not need anything, so long as there is a child, ”noted Pisareva.

According to her, we are talking about the "wonderful law", which is the "first sign" in the Novgorod region, providing assistance to families in which the first child was born.

As Pisareva stressed, this is a very bright and kind initiative, which, unfortunately, was distorted by some people.

“Of course, everybody needs material support, both at 30 and at 40. But we want to support young families who are just starting their life path and postponing the birth of a child because they first want to“ stand up ”, she emphasized.

Earlier, the minister in the Samara region advised women to plant gardens to feed their children.

She later apologized.

In November, an official from the Urals declared that the state “owes nothing” to young people. At the same time, as she noted later, the words were taken out of context.
