The prayer of the Resurrection (the most famous square in which the Taraweeh prayers are performed in Morocco) will not be performed this Ramadan due to volatile weather conditions, according to a statement issued by the Organizing Committee of the Chapel in the neighboring city of Salé.

The prayer chapel is one of the largest outdoor open chapels, and can accommodate more than thirty thousand men and women, and pray Taraweeh annually since 2010.

The mosque has gained wide fame, hosting a number of Moroccan readers throughout the days of Ramadan, as well as worshipers from different cities.

"After a series of meetings and after a severe study and due to the cold weather and the possibility of precipitation, we regret to inform you that Taraweeh prayer will not be held this year by prayer," the organizing committee said.

She added that the stop "comes after ten years of hard work, perseverance, patience and patience, to organize this Quranic event in which we gathered the love of the Quran and its people, and love to revive the year of Taraweeh prayers."

The chapel was a unique phenomenon during Ramadan for years. It is served by an organizational committee of volunteers who supervise the organization, cleaning, reception and providing the necessary audio equipment.

Many were surprised by this decision, which they considered strange, as the prayer page on Facebook received hundreds of surprising comments from the decision.
