It will be built at a height of 2-3 meters above sea level, its area will be 181 hectares.
The construction of the facility is estimated at 880 million PLN (about 16 billion rubles).
In September 2018, it was reported that in Poland they plan to begin construction of the canal through the Baltic Spit.
The goal of the project is “to overcome dependence on Russia”. Currently, ships traveling to the Polish port city of Elblag must pass through the territorial waters of Russia.
