TASS informs about this with reference to the press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov.
“During the day, there was a telephone conversation between President Putin and President Nazarbayev, but we have no information about the content of this conversation,” he said.
Earlier, Nazarbayev, in an address to the people, announced that he was retiring. He said that he will remain the head of the Security Council of Kazakhstan.
He signed the corresponding decree according to which he will resign as president on March 20.
