Open and Close

Pakistan's civil aviation authority said in a statement on its website that the country's airspace, which has been partially closed for more than a week due to tensions with India, will remain closed until Saturday in the eastern and western parts of the country.

The decision to shut down the airspace has changed the routes of flights to China, Iran and European countries, which have caused civil airlines to incur additional costs because of the long journey distance.
