“We are alarmed by the use of force by Russia, which is unacceptable against the background of increasing militarization in the region. The EU expects that Russia will provide unimpeded and free passage through the Kerch Strait into the Sea of Azov and exit from it, in accordance with international law, ”the report said.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin called the incident with the Ukrainian ships in the Kerch Strait a provocation organized by the Ukrainian authorities on the eve of the elections.
