Commenting on the current situation in Sudan, al-Sisi said that "the solution will be made by the Sudanese themselves, through a comprehensive dialogue between the various political forces, leading to a consensus political solution, and provides a clear vision of the benefits of this stage, leading to free and fair elections, Sisi stressed Egypt's support for the Sudanese people's choices.

"We, as neighboring countries of Sudan and the IGAD countries and regional partners, look forward to providing assistance and support to the Sudanese people, in order to achieve the stability and prosperity they seek and deserve."

He called on the international community to "ease the impact of the economic crisis, which is a real obstacle to achieving the desired ambitions, and undermine the chances of achieving stability."

"We directed the foreign ministers of the participating countries to hold a follow-up meeting within a month to consider developments in Sudan and to report to heads of state and government," Sissi said.

A joint statement issued by the Consultative Summit of the Regional Partners of Sudan called on the Peace and Security Council of the African Union to "extend the timetable given to the Sudanese authority for three months" for a "peaceful transition" to the government.

"In the light of the briefing by the Chairperson of the African Union Commission, Moussa Fakih, on his recent visit to Sudan, the participating countries recognized the need to give more time to the Sudanese authorities and the Sudanese parties to implement those procedures (handover of power).

"There is an urgent need for the Sudanese authorities and the political and Sudanese forces to work together in good faith to address the current situation in Sudan and to restore the constitutional order through a democratic political dialogue to achieve the hopes and aspirations of the Sudanese people to establish a comprehensive democratic political system, .
