MADRID (Reuters) - Real Madrid will dismiss coach Santiago Solari and reappoint former coach Zinedine Zidane on Monday, Spanish media reports said.
The Spanish newspaper Marca said the decision would be announced after a board meeting tonight. Confirming that Zidane was the preferred choice of the head of the Royal Florentino Perez.
The former French star left Real just nine months ago after winning three consecutive Champions League titles before resigning in May.
The entire Real Madrid season collapsed within a week after two consecutive defeats in the summit against Barcelona, to emerge after the first defeat of the King's Cup and widen the gap between the leaders of the Spanish league leaders after the second meeting to 12 points.
Real also left the Champions League with a heavy loss to Ajax Amsterdam in the last 16 home on Tuesday.
