Sobyanin noted that Alekseeva devoted her whole life to the protection of human rights and freedoms.

“Everyone who knew Lyudmila Alekseev was respected and appreciated for her deep commitment to the ideals of the human rights movement, a thirst for justice, decency and unshakable strength of mind,” he added.

Lyudmila Alekseeva died on December 8 at the 92nd year of life.
