As noted, the award on behalf of Sentsov was received by the Ukrainian Ambassador Mikhail Brodovich at the international conference “The Dark Side of the Moon”, which takes place in Ljubljana.
October 25, Oleg Sentsov received the 2018 European Human Rights Award of the Andrei Sakharov European Parliament for Freedom of Thought.
At the Russian Foreign Ministry, the award was called politicized.
It also became known that Sentsov became the winner of the Pro Dignitate Humana Prize by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland.
Sentsov was sentenced in Russia to 20 years in prison on charges of organizing terrorist acts in the Crimea.
