Saudi Arabia is seeking to attract $ 427 billion worth of investments in the next decade as part of a program to develop national industries and logistics, Saudi Energy Minister Khalid al-Falih said.

He pointed out that Riyadh plans to announce projects in the military sectors, chemicals and small projects worth 50 billion dollars.

The government is scheduled to launch projects in the industrial program worth more than $ 18 billion tomorrow.

Transport Minister Nabil Al Amoudi said at the press conference that the program will launch sixty logistics initiatives, including five new airports, looking for investments of more than 35 billion riyals

He added that it is hoped that the logistics sector will contribute 221 billion riyals to the gross domestic product by 2020.
