The Saudi Bar Association began to require lawyers to wear a legal coat, in a new organization for lawyers entering the courtrooms.

The issuance of this directive after the view of the robe of lawyers as a "heresy legitimate" in some because it is special "external customs."

"I am very happy to wear the robe of lawyers scheduled by the Bar Association, and I am honored to be one of the first lawyers who have received the honor of receiving this gown from the Saudi Lawyers 'Association," a member of the Arab Lawyers' Union told the German Press Agency on Wednesday.

"In the future, we hope that after this regulatory action, we will see the court and the prosecutors all wearing this uniform that distinguishes them from others and gives prestige to the court," said Shammari, a lawyer for Saudi detainees at Guantanamo Bay.

Some have recently considered the garment to be a heresy, and it is peculiar to external customs, but others have interpreted it as a "reformer with no fault."

It is noteworthy that the Saudi lawyers were in the past wearing the traditional uniform, the official dress, and above the "Basht", in addition to "Shammag".
