Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo has topped the rankings for the world's top 100 celebrity athletes, ahead of Argentine Lionel Messi and Brazilian Neymar, while Egyptian Mohamed Salah was the only Arab star in the rankings and outperformed many international stars.

ESPN's ratings for the most famous athletes were based on a number of aspects, including the popularity of the star on the platforms by monitoring the number of followers, and the number of times it was searched on the search engine "Google", beside Market value according to specialized economic sites.

Despite the overwhelming popularity of football at the global level, the number of stars who have been ranked in the classification was limited to 26 stars only, with a strong presence of basketball, which has 17 of its stars in the classification, led by American LeBron James ranked second.

Once again, Cristiano Ronaldo tops ESPN's World Fame 100.
