Here we are ! The most anticipated weekend of the year has started this Friday, October 16th, and continues Saturday and Sunday. One thousand and one appointment will punctuate two days rich in local colors. Here are five highlights not to be missed, for this 2018 edition of La Bogue.
Redon VS Saint-Malo, who will have the last word?
A merciless fight with verbal jousting. This Saturday, from 2:30 pm, the big marquee stage hosts one of the most anticipated moments of this weekend: the storytelling contest. In the ring, the best storytellers of Redon and Saint-Malo clash, with only weapons, the word and the party, in front of a public actor of the evening, who will vote for the winner, with cartons. Hot flights are expected.
Saturday at 2:30 pm under the big top. Entry at 4 €.
A chicass'noz with Occitan accents
Three musical colors will unfold on the big stage of the Bug 2018, Saturday evening, the sounds of world music, from 21 h. Guest of honor at the festival, the Occitan culture will be unveiled at the rhythm of the group Du Bartàs and its mixed songs, between Arabic and Occitan language. It's THE discovery of the festival. The five Britons of Castor & Pollux will then take over this evening, mixing their different influences to traditional music, before leaving the hand to the world music boosted Elektrik Gem.

The 43rd final of the Golden Bug
The whole weekend was built around this event. The finale of the Golden Bug will take place this Sunday, from 14 pm, at the theater Le Canal. A cappella, the singers in competition will perform the most beautiful traditional songs, to highlight the oral culture of Upper Brittany. At this final stage, these performers of all ages will compete for this 43rd Golden Bug, after passing the selections, organized upstream throughout the country of Redon.

A village to transmit local knowledge
Highlight the art of basketry, pottery or local maritime heritage. Saturday and Sunday, the village of the transmission settles in the halls Garnier to live the know-how and tangible or intangible heritage, rooted in the history of the country of Redon. Many activities are organized throughout these two days, to learn and transmit through listening, observation and practice.
A great musical lottery
Les Occitans, guest of this 43rd edition, will not miss it. Sunday, they will unite with the Bretons in duets, trios or more, the time of a great musical lottery at the tavern of the sailor. It will be hosted by Roger Pidgel, the host of TVilaine.com, aka comedian Anthony Sérazin. After the speeches of the officials at 11 am, the animation makes it possible to laugh, much, and to celebrate these popular musicians. Without taking it too seriously.
