Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani has ordered the allocation of 50 million dollars to support Syrian refugees and displaced people who are living in poor conditions due to the rain and snow that hit the region, the Qatari Emiri Diwan said.

Qatar will provide this grant in the form of a package of emergency relief aid and a range of development programs through the Qatar Development Fund, which will benefit Syrian refugees in Turkey, Lebanon and Jordan, as well as IDPs within Syria.

According to the Amiri Diwan, $ 20 million will be allocated to support the displaced within Syrian territory,
And $ 10 million for refugee support programs in Jordan, Turkey and Lebanon.

Five million Qatari Riyals will also be allocated to the Syrian refugees in Lebanon to support the relief campaign in Arsal, which is overseen by Qatar Charity.

The American Bureau said that the Qatar Development Fund will coordinate with a number of partners such as White Helmets and United Nations specialized agencies to spend these funds in direct humanitarian relief programs to mitigate the effects of the winter cold, as well as development programs in the sectors of education and health services.
