According to the publication, during the speech of the prime minister in parliament, the chairman of the EKRE faction Martin Helme told Ratas that he "refuses to recognize the danger that the Russians represent in the security services."

Helm asked whether Estonian intelligence will carry out "special, more close monitoring of persons of non-Estonian nationality".

The Estonian Prime Minister responded by stating that, according to the Estonian Constitution, discrimination based on nationality, race, gender, language or other circumstances is unacceptable.

"What you are saying now, in my opinion, is terrible is that the alleged part of the Estonian population for one reason or another is not suitable for the country," said Ratas.

He added that the state treasury "is not related to what is the home or native language of a person".

In July, Estonian Foreign Intelligence Minister Mikk Marran announced the disclosure of the network of "agents of influence" of Russia.
