According to Poroshenko, the Ukrainian positions stopped firing from tanks, as the enemy stopped firing, knowing about the possibility of using APU Javelin complexes with missiles that use heat guidance for hitting the target.
“We do not have tank attacks now. This is the effect of only one type of weapon, ”he said.
Earlier, Poroshenko said that the American anti-tank complexes Javelin scared the Russian Armed Forces. According to him, the Russian tankers "refuse to leave the position" because of the appearance of such weapons in parts of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Experts saw in Poroshenko’s statements a hint at the possible transfer of complexes to the Donbass, although they gave Javelin to Kiev with the condition that they would not be placed in the zone of a military operation.
